Breaking The Digital Divide
The world of the internet, email, and web sites is one which
provides a wondrous selection of information, both educational and enjoyable.
Yet it is a world which too few in the African American and Latino communities
are able to conquer, due to limited access to the technology that brings
this venue to the home.
Our Digital Divide Program in 2005 provided more than 300 families with
re-conditioned computers, on a first-come, first-served basis. While these
systems are not "cutting edge" technology, they provide families in our
communities with enhanced capabilities for their children.
We wish to thank all who have participated this year. For those who wish
